mytee speedster parts
« on: October 07, 2008, 11:40:13 am »
Am happy with my mytee speedster but find it a hassle getting parts.
There is only one company i know that stocks parts but they are a nightmare.
Is there anyone with this machine that can recommend a stockist.
Thanks
Alastair

Depends what parts.I would of thought most stuff would be generic ie vac motors ,pumps. Hoses could be made by pirtec or similar.

It is a heating rod that slides into water heater. My heater has been out of action for about 2 months now and have been waiting for a part apparently getting ordered from the states.

The speedster has 2 heat exchangers - not sure what rod you mean? Have both heaters gone? Have you tried Matt at Cleansmart? he used to stock them.

Cheers Kev
One of my heaters has gone but for some reason it is tripping out every time i try to turn them on, have the whole circut disconnected at the moment.
Cleansmart no longer do the mytee products because i believe they were getting problems with orders themselves.

Bit obvious and I'm sure you've tried everything already but:-

Have you re-set them?
Changed fuses?
Tested for any (hidden) breaks in the wiring?

hi there new to the site but i have a few of these machines - Great machines had one or two problems with parts at first but these days, within last six months WCSUK.com or Woodbridge Commercial seem to have pulled their fingers out.

I have just ordered two of these rods i had part number E519 got one next day and the other is due to me on Tuesday / Wednesday next week. Speak to Paul there.

Hope this helps.

Now wouldn't that be wonderful if it turns out to be true.

I thought they beat customers service out of the keen ones or they kick them out for going against the company ethos. ;D

Thans Nigel
Think they have lost my order because i ordered about 2 months ago.  Aparently coming in next week so ours must be on same U.S. order.
Have you ever tried to order direct from the states. I have had emails with a guy from rotovac who can get their hands on everything but they only accept bank transfers or something like that. Seems a bit tricky
Cheers

Surely if the worst comes to it you could order something like that straight from mytee .

Don't want to hijack your thread Diamond, but does anyone know exactly what vac motors the Speedster uses?

Hi I have a Speedster and I had a similar problem I found it was the thermostat  mounted on the heater had a faulty spade connector. John at Woodbridge sorted me out they were in the post the very next day only cost £5.87 each plus vat and p+p I had two for £18:67.

Very carefully check the black leads on the thermostat body and the spade terminals see if they are loose this can cause the machine to trip out. I have RCB on my two leads and the one wouldn't reset no matter what I tried and found out it was the above problem.

The very best of luck.
P.S. have you had any leak problems?

cheers Keith.
Have dealt with woodbridge but not been as lucky with them. Incidently i got those thermostats at RS components. Check them out.
I did catch a potential leak before it started. Internal hose had a huge bubble ready to burst.
My heating rod should hopefully come tomorow so hopefully all will be sweet after that.
Cheers

that is exactly where it was. it was fixing this that made me brake my thermostat spade connector. I did have another bubble but cant remember where it was.

You must explain why not  as obviously you could cause a drop in sales and iys unfair without explanation
