if you only are 60% FULL WHY ARE YOU 2 WEEKS BEHIND? ARE YOU LAZY ?
Week and a half off at Christmas and p*ssed down since.

Anyway, I never said I was 2 weeks behind, I said I might be.
I might not be either, who cares as long as there's work to do it doesn't matter how soon I do it.

If I was on time I'd have nothing to do would I?

...and yes I have been lazy lately.
I'm just fed up with this crappy job, and can't find the enthusiasm.

When I do get going in a good mood some customer moaning about wfp soon puts me off again. >:(

Now Squeeks might be a bit of...............no a lot of a Victor Meldrew.
But occasionally he's blunt and honest.
This is about how I feel ::) ::)

I prefer Squeek's honest moaning to MR Solubility's super sonic better than you lot crap ::) ::)  He's perfectly right.........but I bet ,if he dare to be honest, he feels the same as Squeeks.............and ME ::)

I don't mean this to sound like I am trying to be a smart alec or anything like that but there are two sayings I often use to motivate myself. Neither are original but they are both good at getting me back on track.
they are

"The world is full of windows"

and

"If you knock on enough doors it HAS to work"

I am currently seeking to add about 200 new customers at the right price in the right area with no carry throughs. I also intend to clear out a load of stale customers that basically are a pain.
To that end I have started cavassing and leafletting at the weekends. When the evenings get lighter I can go out then as well.

You have to motivate yourself to get out there. I can find a million reasons to put it off till next week.

Excellent post david, add me to that too. to be honest, i'm absolutely peed off at the moment too, this weather is getting me down. piddling about between downpours for 20/30 quid, setting off & having to come straight back, watching my bank balance get closer & closer to zero every day etc.etc. Just come back now, totaly demoralised but this honest post has warmed me up a wee bit. ;)

Me too - tough times at the moment and very unlikely to pick up more work whilst it's chucking it down, nice to see some honest chat in here for a change. I don't want to hear some twit telling me he can do forty houses in the rain and is mister perfect. Tony if you get short of money I'll give you fifty quid for the Facelift.

I had a horrible few hours too, wet and miserable, my soggy hose caught on everything out there, tied itself in knots and got caught under every gate that slammed shut in the wind. Yesterday was just as bad - got my Superlight jammed. The wife was really impressed when i threw it down on the lounge carpet! I'm sat here now and have just noticed i'm covered in dog sh*t too! >:(

It's understandable when honest people sometimes get peed off when they come on here & read about how some work in all conditions, every day, @ 300 quid a day, never get any moans/complaints, how wfp is such a breeze, never get tangled hoses, never get covered in sh*t, work in pitck black, send their emplyee out to deal with the above etc.etc.etc. ;)

I bought some decent breathable waterproofs from strauss. They are the bees knees, the business, keep me lovely and warm, without sweating and remaining bone dry. I now look forward to working in the rain feeling warm & dry whilst it's pouring down. In the past I would work in the rain until I couldn't get any wetter and then change intp some dry clothes and come home. Now I'm out all day long, beautiful. I thoroughly recommend dryplexx waterproof clothing, better than Gortex anyday :)
