hi there
Tony,
i'll tell you why i started my own business, to achieve a better standard of living, i knew that i wouldnt be abke to achieve that goal by working for somebody else. so i took the decision to start my own company, and well into the third year the fruits of my labour are starting to show.
my plan for the next five years will mean that i should achieve that better standard of living, and am achieveing it, if i pay off my mortgage in the next couple of years, then thats great.
you have to work hard to achieve the goals in life, whether that be in work or play.
the work -- personal life balance is a difficult balance to achieve and maintain all of the time, ive seen people start there own business, and within 18 months are back working for an employer, cause that either couldnt hack it, or didnt have the drive to motoivate themselves.
regards
martin
ps oh and if i make a million in the process, then my children will be sufficiently provided for in future years, its a tough world out there, and its going to get tougher.
but the main thing is that you have your health, a good life and that you enjoy what you do, cause if you dont then you might as well not bother.
