I have looked into this too and personally dont think its worth it. c.£100 per year to be in it and only their clients can access its approved contractors list. I think its only worth joining if you are frying big fish, eg. banks, etc. Just my opinion, feel free to prove me wrong!  :)

Yes it's £100. What do you expect for that?
I'll admit to having never picked up a job from the supplied list but then we haven't really tried either. More fool me I suppose for that point, but, i have far exceeded the fee from picking up customers who choose us because they see that we are safety concious.
Horses for courses. There are many different organisations that tell potential customers that you care, that you are professional.
One I will never go back to is Guild of Master Craftsmen, that really was a case of money wasted.

OK well this is my view point having been a member of Safecontractor for some years

Firstly its not a company that is set up to get you shed loads of work “that is not what Safecontractor is about”
The mean points are going thought the process of getting accreditation gives you a better understanding of health & safety with-in you’re own business

Now you might think well I don’t know the first thing about health & safety, well that fine as Safecontractor are very helpful and are with you at ever stage

When you do get accredit then you can use the logo of your van letter heads business cards, know in today’s health & safety work place if you are demonstrating to future customers that your company takes health & safety seriously then you will win commercial work over non members

Andy
PS dame good looking logo to boot
