what phone have you got mate, can you track it? i had my vamn stollen over night in newcastle two months ago. something has to be done about all this, its all the time now

You can buy little tracking devices nowadays which transmit a location every so often. People are buying them to track their partners apparantly   

Hope you have noy in finding it ok buddy though. I certainly wouldnt like it if it happened to me

You hear it all the time I have had my van nicked but nearly 100% of these guys leave the keys in ignition. All it takes is someone to be walking past at the wrong time then boom your vans gone I have never once left my keys in my vans or cars even if I get out of van to make sure back doors are shut properly I always take them out .it's the thought of insurance not paying out that makes me do it

That's taking things to extremes is it not? Surely before the couple of seconds it takes to stroll to the back of the van and check your back doors  you could have a quick look at your surroundings and if there is no one in the vicinity there would be no need to remove the keys.

But its a fair point to make.......Dont leave your keys in the ignition and certainly dont be working whilst the van is ticking over thats just asking for trouble.

Lol I might go for a drive around and see whos got a better van set up and just wait for that moment 😂😂😂

no sign yet trawled all over  no contact yet from police the officer who is supposed to be dealing with it is on holiday. the thing that hurts most I had my old phone in van  my wife recived phone call from the ahole who stole it saying got your van and you aint getting it back in an abusive manner. and so have my sons .they must have rang other people.  I have cancelled phone .got a new sim with same number .but got a strange txt. must be one of his pals not realising the old sim is barred and rang the number which has not changed.

What a horrible little **** to phone your wife and kids like that! 

I had my van stolen a few years back. The police found it a few days later and I got it back. Just post a picture of the van  on Facebook and get everyone to share it. I was getting calls off a few different people saying they had spotted it as the thief was still driving it around for a few days after. I'm sure this is was caused him to eventually ditch the van. Why?  Why take even the tiny risk that you haven't spotted something or that you might get distracted while you're at the back of the van?  Seriously, would you gain even a second by "having a quick look" compared to just taking out the sodding key?  Really?  Madness.
