minimum £60 plus vat for conny roof usually around £100 for average size, minimum 70 plus vat for gutter fascia soffits cleaning, dont do gutter clearing anymore,

still get the odd few sayng oh can you run the brush over the guttering for me? will a fiver cover it?

they are good earners but only when priced correctly, just because your charging £60 for an hour dazmond doesnt mean thats what you are earning per hour! classic mistake!

i do earn £50-£60 an hour on add ons mate.i know how long they take.mine mainly come from existing customers so i clean them when i next clean their windows. ;) :)
price higher/work harder!

I'm amazed that you are unable to get £100-£120-£150 on conservatory cleans. I suppose it's the way it's sold.

I've just been to price 2, (one is right on Dazmonds patch, but don't tell him) quoted £180 for conny/gutters/fascia/soffitts/windows. Prob take the 2 of us 1.5 to 2 hours. She said yes almost too quickly, probably could have quoted £80 more :(

2nd one was conservatory only, small but minging, quoted £120, again an instant yes. Both will be cleaned on the same day, using customers water and finished with pure.

For £50-£60 I wouldn't bother with this type of work either.

Are they regular window cleaning customers?? or one off enquiries

One off enquiries. I'm a little cheaper for regular customers knowing that frames are already clean, but not much cheaper.

Hi bob I'm in West Sussex, quoted today conservatory 15 by 12 complete outside £130 plus inside which I don't want to do £130 total job £260 also house windows £16 six weekly. And got the job
Just stay positive don't under sell yourself,we are all lucky and have regular work, name you price and stick to it
If you do it cheap you will regret it,the job I priced today was from recomendation if I'm there all day to do conservatory I'm happy as I think it a good day rate, I know some others in different areas don't get that sort of price, anyone can be cheap and busy. But that's not the way to run a business and make a good profit.
Maybe I'm lucky in the area I live,but I run a business,I offer a good service,reliable,insured,and a do a good job.
Good luck mate

and conservatory cleans!!!!!
I  think i have come to a decision that after working all week on the glass i am now fed up of quoting £50.00 for a conny clean and being told "i didn't think it would be that much"........4 bed detached house, gutter, fascia clean including garage  "£95.00, including garage".."how much, oh, didn't think it would be that much"

The one thing i have noticed is that the jobs i dont get all tend to be existing customers, (window cleans) and the quotes i do get tend to be non window cleaning clients
I am starting to think they are influenced by us using the pole system, they probably think "£15.00 for the house, his here 20 mins so the conny say £25.00" i am sure they are pre pricing themselves.

Thought i would share ;D

Same Bob : I've noticed existing customers expect a keener price than 'walk ups'

this is definitely my experience

I don't bother much with them, there isn't the money in them in my area.
When starting out I used to under price them and got a few, but once my round was full I upped my
prices as I didn't really want them anymore.
My prices are still a lot lower than what some have quoted on here and I still don't get them.

I think bobplum hit the nail on the head ....existing customers tend to think that for a bit extra you can, as scrimble said ..just give them a wipe while you're there. Did one for £60 last week, existing custie,  took less than 2 hours. I was happy with that, she was very pleased with result. She'd had quotes from £90 to £150 . if they don't like your price tell them to get other quotes and see what happens. They're harder work than windows and should be a better hourly rate, so if they don't want to pay don't give it a second thought and, unless you're desperate for the extra cash, DO NOT drop your price.

8weekly

That's what I do. Suggest they get other quotes.
