« on: June 23, 2014, 01:24:23 pm »
has anyone ordered one? they got released on Friday? I was having a look at them they look the best by far ally pole on the market, just wondering if anyone has seen them?

http://www.brodexbms.co.uk/products/telescopic-pole-selection/summit-aluminium

2 years no messin guarantee and the new style clamps there using look sweet

they felt pretty nice think I might order a 26', I have a old type brodex ally pole, there great in my opinion, very low maintenance and can take a good beating

anyone else checked these out?!

Still to heavy compared to a CLX or SLX so a waste of money in my opinion.
Do they still do that crafty reach thing where they give the pole sizes in reach but not the true
length.
The old Brodex alloy pole was the worst pole that I ever used, maybe Brodex should give a warranty on
the elbows shoulders and wrists of anybody stupid enough to waste their money on one.
The best alloy pole on he market is the Harris.

their brushes are very heavy too!the poles look good and probably will last well and be very hardwearing but no good for yourself if your poling all day most days during your working week as you ll be working a lot harder than you need to work due to the extra weight compared to an extreme pole and brush for example.

probably be good if you employ a lot of staff though to supply these cheap poles.
price higher/work harder!

The poles will probably outlast you, as said above wear and tear on your body is far to much, you'll regret it later in life when your joints are a mess,  would sooner pay the extra few pounds n get a clx, slx or even some scaffolding poles

Just spend a few hundred quid and get a slx. If you look after it you should easily get three years out of it.

Do you really not want to spend about £10 a month for a quality carbon fibre pole that will minimise wear and tear on your body?

How much money can that £10 a month earn you?

It's a no brainer.

From Brodex? HA HA HA HA HA!

Ridiculous pole.  Ridiculous company.

The go into liquidation almost every year when the tax man catches up with them.  I think they must be onto their 3rd or 4th company by now.  I think you'll find that any "guarantee" will die a death with the next liquidation.

Do a search for "Brodex" on here, and you will see thread after thread of people dissatisfied with their products, their service, their attitude.

Personally I would avoid like the plague.
That is all.

ok lol...

sounds like some people have had some bad encounters with brodex, I got my system installed off them and ive never had a problem with them, I already no that the clx and slx are a lot lighter, I don't think they aim for that though with there alloy poles, they aim for them to be hard wearing and low maintenance, which they are. ide say there the best alloy pole on the market, obviously anything over 22ft is going to hurt in alloy, I have there old 18 ft pole and its great, ok its 500g more heavier than my gardiner slx but I still use it, the extra weight helps for scrubbing on some jobs, they have there own advantages over the lighter poles.

but yea everyone says there a bad company, I cant say a word to fault them, got my system off them, 5 months later it sprung a leak from the 4040ro, rang them up Tuesday, they had me in on Friday and fixed under my guarantee; so as far as it goes with my experience, there absolutely fine.   think a lot of the bad words that are spoke are influenced by there competition. don't let it fool you because it didn't me.
