I'm glad you don't clean my windows.

I can understand that...you wouldnt want me showing you up ;D

Seriously the cleaning power between 000ppm and 50ppm almost
no difference at all,its what you leave behind is the problem and i guarantee
there would be nothing left behind on your windows even if i had to put
a squeegee on a pole and give a basic dryng.

I guarantee no spots...the last thing you want is a professional such
as myself quitting, the tone of the industry would go right down. ;D

had slight spots on 005

Iv had spots at 000 you will find that it wasn't the tds that caused them.

It was on a red hot day, i put it down to the tds but could it have been the water drying to fast on the glass? i was working with the sun direct on the glass.

turn your flow up and scrub and rinse more

Back to 000pm now..

As a wfp newbie (6 months) at least I know the water isn't causing a problem if I eventually get a complaint.

As always, thanks to all that assisted.

Stay at 0. Like you say it removes any doubt from the equation.

Don't listen to gary999, he's a Muppet and probably smells.

I dont normally respond to such stupidity, but on this occasion i will :)

000ppm doesnt necessarily guarantee 100% results every time
there a plenty of other factors to consider frames seals etc that
can cause you problems

so i stand by what i say even with 000ppm dont take it for granted
and be thorough.sound advice far as im concerned cap sparkle ;)

The thing is that Gary999's water may be fine at 30 ppm because his water contains only a certain type of mineral and not say lime.

People don't seem to realise that someone's water that reads 010 in wales won't be the see to someone's 010 water that lives in Birmingham.

I guarantee that someone's water in Birmingham at 030 would leave spots because of the limescale in the water.

That's probably why Gary gets away with 100ppm because his water is of a very good quality.

The water from here is of good quality it comes from wales :)

I would have no problems using water at 100ppm deliberately but
would dry every pane before the water evaporated and any sediments
are left behind.

normally i try to use rainwater at around 14ppm and dont have any
problems apart from the odd occasional window which i dry, most of
the year my tap water is around 30ish and have very few problems
but i know my round.

On new work i tend to dry every pane of glass afterwards anyway
like to be 100% sure of results i have become very proficient at drying
glass up to third floor..after a couple of cleans i normally revert to
my normal routine

57ppm is the highest i have worked at without issue , If we have had some heavy rain 1-2 days prior then checking tap tds can be higher as the contaminants in water are much higher .

But as pointed out in a hard water area their will be far more limescale etc which will cause more issues  at a higher tds . Mike

As above?? How high can I allow before DI resin change ... mines 002/3 at the moment.

Thanks in advance guys.

I'm really dull and repetitive on this subject.

1. Use two DI vessels.  It'll save you loads of money.

2. Once you've done step 1, it won't cost you a penny more to change resin at 002 than at 040.
