I use a clx 27 for my every day pole

Good luck to ya Col. Once you've used summat lighter you'll never go back to using one for everyday use. On the bright side, you'll keep up that muscular toned look on your arms !! 
 The small difference on paper between a clx 22 and a clx27 appears minimal, in practice its huge. A slx 25 is a good choice, we have one here if you want a look.

Thanks all for help, i tried someones clx27 and i cant see that being an ever day pole, was light enough but a bit of a lump.

Best option for me is slx25 i think and then get sections as and when i need them.

CLX-22 for everyday use is as close to perfect as you are going to get. Lets face it they are not dear, virtually disposable items these days.

If you want a longer pole for occasional use get something a good bit longer and be done with it.

A longer pole for everyday use is not good just so you can do that 'one a week' window that couldn't be reached with a 22

Change the c for an s in the name then you have perfection
