I guess me and gcs will have to agree to disagree what "past time" meens.
I am just sick of people asking for advice only to get some high and mighty holy than thou smart arse reply. What's even more annoying is they have not even read the question correctly making them look like a real todger jockey!

"But then again I'm a realist"

I can assure you one thing i am not is a liar, lucky yes, liar no.
Any way is does not matter how much commercial work you get through a website if you can't close a deal.I qouted 2 jobs from the website in january one for £1800 and the other for £950 and i have not had any contact back,so i am a realist  ;) .....i can't win them all.

Try Joomla (www.joomla.org)

It takes a bit of configuring but has loads of add ons (polls, feedback forms etc) that can be bring in business.

It's worth a look if you have a couple of hours spare.

Garry,

I agree, it is rather hard to comprehend at first, but if you persevere you can get there in the end.

Perhaps One.com are worth a look.

My colleague Martin has just created a site for free using templates from www.One.com

The basic domain registration (£10 plus VAT) comes with free hosting  and he has managed to do this without any prior experience.

www.truespirit.org.uk  - have a look at the extremely brave men on the site. Martin is involved in this project being an Iron Man triathlete himself.

I've always liked 1&1, almost idiot proof and seem to rank well, it's not free but at under £10 month it might as well be.

try gbbo.co.uk all you need is a mobile number the rest is free

Surely this cannot be Mike Orme , as he thinks "low moisture cleaning should be banned"
that is what it says on his site, mind you his site is made from gbbo.co.uk .

I use them. Granted it's template which likits what you can do and how it looks but it does save me
1. Having to learn a new language
2. Relying on someone else to run it at a cost.

The cost bit doesn't really bother me, it's the reliability bit that's the problem when someone else does it. I had someone start doing a new revamped site for me, then he disappeared off the radar. Thankfully I hadn't handed over the all the details / codes etc.

Hector if you want lagitamacy why not show yourself?

I remember Jim Neal was asked questions like this and he 'became a real person', there's no need for a witch hunt but anyone with no profile and a name that is quite frankly stupid, it's a bit like that Wynne who has a link to a hampshire japanese car website, just can't take his posts seriously, perhaps it's time to ignore him.

Getting silly again.
