The nozzle head fits onto the end of a wfp (brush removed), and you extend the pole accordingly. Im sure you could fit tubes onto the end of the vacuum hose if you prefer-51mm pipe.

but poles become smaller by section would this not cause problems with the suction?

No mate, the wfp supports the vacuum hose-it goes on the outside. I can email you a picture i took on a job if you like?
