You will be able to get a metal barrel or more if needed from any steel deckers/stud welders you see or know of working on construction sites, they have removable lids,these are type of barrels they use http://www.shearstud.com/stock.html

By the time you've done all this and forked out for a compressor, it would be as cheap to buy a gutter vac and run it off a genny.
The pen is mightier than the sword (and a lot easier to write with!)
