just read dazs post about complaints and it reminded of event this afternoon i have tried to forget as it got me so mad
i had a job to do a gutter clean , id done the windows a few weeks back but as the weather was so cold the contents of the gutter was frozen solid so i arranged to call back and went today
the property is an old victorian house huge place, however its now an upstairs / downstairs flat
ive been working for the lady who owns upstairs to rent it out
went to day got ladders off went round front set up gets up ladder and some weird looking ferrety bloke come underneath ladder from downstairs flat and yells what you doing to which i said gutter cleaning ? he said well why didnt you knock on first - i said because the lady who owns the flat knows i m coming - sorry why - he goes off about how she doesnt own the grounds bla bla (which isnt true she has access to property and gardens ) anyway hes being realy aggressive so i just said either go in or i will come down and carry on the discussion - he says are you threatening me i will phone the police you could be a burglar so i laughed and said yeah im trying to burgle your ground floor flat from the gutter go in - anyway he does and 2 mins comes out and starts again so i flew down ladder well pd off i feel really bad now but i told him to go" forth and multiply" before i lost it properly
ive not had a good day though had really bad ear and toothe ache all day just wanted to do job and go home not have a numpty folow me round
anyway he ran in to phone police and i dropped ladder and left not done guuter or anything
dont know what to do now dont want to let customer down but im not going back to see him or i will lose it
plus not been paid for the cleaning of windows i did originally as it was all one price :( i did a builders clean in and out on them

I would go back at 5.30am, knock his door & tell him your here to do the gutters! ;)

if i were u i would tell the police wot happend ( just so they know).
then go bk carry on wiv the job 4ya custy, as u sorted with her. if m8e comes out again

done, so ur custy is happy.... u got paid & destressed ;D ;D

there was probably a contract in the lease, any repairs are shared, i once knew a a customer that was only moved in a matter of weeks, if that is the same case, i would go nuts as well ;D even call the police lol

Do the gutter job, but inform him first and casually spill the contents over his windows .........accidentally of course !

Where there is a requirement for access into someone else's property for the purpose of maintenance on multiple occupied buildings, there is a statutory right of access. You need to inform the owner/occupier that you will be attending to perform necessary work at a specific time/date and they have no right to deny access unreasonably. (Only in cases of extreme inconvenience, etc)
In the case of window cleaning and other regular frequent work you need only to inform the owner/occupier of the frequency and duration of the works.

Personally, I would have asked the lady who owns the flat upstairs to let downstairs know, or you should of knocked yourself to tell them, problem solved...

i had no idea a turnip was living downstairs
if you turn upto to a job do you let all the neighbours know
didnt think so
anyway i apologized for that it was his rudeness that was the problem

hes a twonk mate should have just decked him you could say to the police it was harrasment dont loose the payment for the job you should have done the work regardless

I would have asked him to step back to avoid getting splashed with the gutter contents.

How many people have you hit then, doing this job?
Do you say "hell no!" just before hitting them and does this add to the actual assault?

You should have asked if he wanted his clearing out and said sorry you don`t seem to have any do you oh well maybe 1 day you will you fool.

just the way iam g. worked as a doorman for 10years & a repo man for 2. so ive seen
alot n dont really go much 4the law. sort things out myself, made it to 40..... touch wood LOL :D

the reason why i left - and i am not a violent person, is that i was feeling like i wanted to hit the guy so with his constant threats of phoning the police over nothing i thought if i do hit this guy he is just gonna phone police straight away and then im in alot of bother which isnt worth it
I wasnt trying to start another argument on here lol
just was a typical example of a plonker which we seem to meet daily between all of us on here
