Title: HAVE A LAUGH AT THIS!
Post by: Geoff Jewkes on November 24, 2006, 07:25:56 pm: I went on a quotation today......... cleaning of a leather suite.
2 seater and a 3, nothing major .... very straight forward.
I gave in my quote and she said she could get it cheaper. I quoted £ 95 which I thought was reasonable. Her other quote was from quite a big company £70 !!!!!!!!!!!!! She asked the guy how it was to be cleaned and he replied ` Dove soap and hot water ` !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW :o ;D ;D.
Now this company is IICRC, PRO CLEAN, NCCA, WOOLSAFE !!!! What do you guys think of this????????????................ I had to laugh!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, they didn`t get the job. I think she will invest in a bar of Dove at 49p!!

Can`t say too much Paul but they`re big and Chester based. I've heard this off two seperate people over the last couple of months

why not use dove soap & hot water? its Ph Neutral and is been rinsed off

perhaps they know something we don't :D

and i've also been told that dove soap is indeed an excellent product to
use on leather, but i've never tried it myself.

If it is who I suspect, then they come across very good,right up to the point of action.
They can talk the talk but dont walk the walk ;)

We then pick up the dissapointed customers. ;D
