Post by: Small but perfectley formed on August 06, 2016, 08:22:29 pm
Has any one with a slx with new type clamps had problems with it spinning ,
The Pole is  about 9 months and when collapsed every section now spins .

It is probably the clamps  expanding due to the summer heat just tighten the lever bolts a bit. I am always adjusting the clamps at this time of the year.

In 9 years I am on my second SLX 25  used and abused as all day-every day poles. The smart clamps are fantastic and only add to the longevity of such a good pole! Try tightening the clamps and maybe servicing them. ;)

Have never been impressed by the smart clamp, they only came into existence because of poor operators, not
joking give me a supplier who can make a pole similar to the Gardiner pole before the smart clamp and you will have a customer for life.

I actually used my spare pole with the old clamps this week one of the days ........it was awful compared to the smart clamps!

The smart clamps are brilliant .

I've literally adjusted the smart clamp until the section has become so thin it eventually snapped. The clamp should never leave the pole spinning. Not ever.
