I also use RAM. There are better systems available but they are considerably more expensive.

? Not sure about that. Reconnect the battery and it comes back on.

Theft recovery is a feature, but it's low on the list of priorities for me.

Must have been cheap ones then as from experience the official trackers have a non rechargeable backup to ensure it doesn't fail.

Big differnece in costs I assume?

Official trackers £650 then £150 a year?

How much is this Rams tracking?

Bearing in mind you don't really use tracker for work use.

What makes you think that? Not sure how much they are to be honest. £20 per month each or something like that.

Tracker as in tracker the brand name not a device. Official tracker is for when vehicle gets stolen.

Thread is confusing.

Live tracking for work use vs tracking for vehicle theft lol

I see. £650 + £180p/y seems expensive for anti theft. Why would you buy that when £20 p/m gets you ram which has lots of features?

If you call the police they will go and pursue the vehicle. Does RAM offer a similar service?

If you report it stolen and have evidence to its location I don't see why the police wouldn't follow it up.

I can see that working if the vechicle is stolen. Live tracking I don't think they would. As you would need to be on the phone relaying live locations. That's assuming you know it's stolen.

Having said that. Most high end vehicles that are stolen are usually parked up somewhere to see if they have a tracker fitted. Gone are the days of driving into steel
Containers lol. Most decent system work though containers.

This device doesn't interference mobile phone and other wiring (electronic device)

This device doesn't affect navigation device which installed on other cars.

It adopts the technology of interdiction and interposition code, so will intercept the signal
of satellite and break it completely

Official tracker units (depending on models) use VHF tracking technology and Tracker also use GSM and GPS in combination.

I think it COULD work, but i am not a 100% sure

It's only the keyless entry/go that can be hacked on RR's.
My van has the blip per to open it (like most vans I'd assume) so that could be hacked reasonably easily I'd assume.
Getting the van to start without the key would be another matter.

True for less than £5 you can make your van pretty much safe from being driven away :) Plenty of measures to put in yourself.

On my escort rs turbo i had a removable steering wheel. I used to remove the wheel then chain it in the rear of the boot. On a private air strip i overtook god knows how many cars and was waving it at my mates out the window doing a good 80-90mph in a convoy. Looking back now, i would have punched myself in the face. >:( >:(
