Currently have my work on the computer and print of the work sheets at the start of the month. I'm thinking of going on clean planner as everyone seems to have good things to say about it. Is it easier than the method I use and do you run it from your phone when working or can you still print the work sheets of
Thanks ash

yep can do all that you mentioned, simple thing to do is trial it for free for a month and mess around with it, Rob will be able to transfer all your data over to cleaner planner and help get you going plus there is a forum dedicated to cleaner planner.

Stop whatever you are doing.
Set up a free trial with Rob.
Email Rob.
Get it started.
Seriously.
Just do it.

Is it worth it for one man bands or more aimed at those with loads of customers and multiple staff?
-
It'll work for any size of window cleaning business and is highly customisable to suit the way you work.
Like anything computer based there is a learning curve. I have not had one single issue that has not been resolved straight away. The forum on there is a complete stroke of genius, if you get stuck, post a question on there and a knowledgeable user will be along to help or Rob himself will sort you out. I believe you may be able to see it without an account:

So say your running a couple of days behind because of rain etc, how does cleaner olanner work that out? Does it push all the days work ahead 2 days? How do you keep it all on schedule of you miss a day?
-
have to say while cleaner planer is g very good for go cardless etc George which i have been using for six years to manage three rounds cost me a one off fee of £50 pounds the only down side is cant run it from a tablet but i choose to print off work sheets at the beginning of week i think the general lay out of george is better for the cost imho
-
Just trialed both, prefer george, does everything and much cheaper

You can run George from windows tablets.

I'm currently looking at cleaner planner, moving from Win pro ( load of shi**)

I'm currently looking at cleaner planner, moving from Win pro ( load of shi**)
Window cleaner pro wasnt shi** just got left behind. I was very reluctant to leaving it to be honest. However things are moving forward very quickly with cleaner planner and im happy with the way its going. Having it on my phone is superb. Im never without my round.
-
window cleaner pro was great at first , lets remember the alternative was george which while ok, was a bit aged
At the end of the day if you are having no problems with your current method then why change? You can still quite easily run a one man band from a few notebooks , but it all depends how you want to run your business
For me having everything on my laptop and iphone and over the internet syncing both is brilliant and im more organised thanks to cleaner planner than ive ever been , and robs customer service is second to none which is what sold it to me if im honest as i was getting by with wcp but the fact they pretty much do no support now meant that i was more confident putting my data in robs hands
If you can afford the £15 a month i dont think you will make many other improvements to your business at that price that does so much

Hi all, good convo going here without me butting in ;) But just to say if anyone has any specific questions about Cleaner Planner that haven't been answered feel free to email me directly at rob@cleanerplanner.com. Also if you fancy giving CP a try, just a reminder that I can import your data from any software - George, WCP, Aworka, Excel etc - or help you input your jobs from paper. Thanks, Rob.

You don't down load anything.
Also, if you read the small print for any IT based gadget or gizmo it'll put you right off.

??? you trialled it did you have a problem?

What small print are we talking about?

Ah this is where i am going wrong in life. Off to reset the internet and download a cloud based program.
-
What small print are we talking about?
I'm guessing it's this:

-
Yes, but it's all pretty standard stuff for a cloud-based app. Just wondering what specific part of it was being referred to?
I'm open to constructive feedback on every aspect of Cleaner Planner, "small print" included. If something doesn't sit right here then I'll review and possibly amend it.

the only thing that cleaner planner doesnt do for me is clean the bloody windows
come on rob sort it out ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just out of interest I had a quick look at TandC
2.3Cleaner Planner shall have the right, exercisable at its sole discretion, to terminate provision of the Services without prior notice to Users
13.1that they will be secure. < this bit

That worries me too. I would be worried about losing my database if the servers are closed. Dangerous for my business.
Is the full database assessable offline ? Or have the data stored on my laptop where it can easily be transferred over to another software?
Also I would be concerned that the price can be increased.

2.3 - Yep, as I say that's pretty standard T&C wording for a cloud based app but to be honest it doesn't sit right with me either. If I was to terminate the service (not that I have any intention whatsoever of doing so) I would *definitely* give ample notice to my users, as much as possible but at least a month. I'll amend this ASAP :)
13.1 - I think I'll remove this clause as it's not representative of Cleaner Planner at all! Quality of service, meeting users' requirements, multi-device compatibility and data security are what Cleaner Planner is all about.
Thanks for the feedback. I've been meaning to comb through these for a while to be honest and this is certainly something I want to get right as Cleaner Planner grows :)
-
I only had a look because it got brought up in the discussion ,if you bring out a standalone program I would be interested but not web based .
-

As I say (and I'm going to amend the T&C's to reflect this) you would *not* lose your data if the service was ever terminated. You would have ample notice and time to login to the system and export your entire database (which you can do at any time via the "Settings > Accounts" tab regardless of what package you are on). Although I backup your data hourly I also recommend you take your own backups periodically (e.g. once a week) for your own extra peace of mind.

Hi Rob

Thanks Rob,
Also just had a look at the package, is there a way I can change the format colours. The Cyan is too light against the white for me to clearly see without straining.
-
Hi Paul - just emailed you about this, but to let you and anyone else interested know (as this has been on CIU suggested before) I've added a "Dark" colour scheme option for those who find the default scheme a bit too subtle for their taste and/or eyesight. If you're on Cleaner Planner and want to give it a try just go to the "Settings" tab, change the "Theme" to "Dark" and click "Save".
-
Hey,
You can now make the colours of the blue a little darker which for some might help a lot to make it clearer to see,
On the spanner, settings you can change the theme to darker.
Fab news, thanks
-
thats a good option rob, is tehre any way you could have a dark dark option, with the blue maybe a bit darker than the dark setting (though not essential) BUT an option where the text can be dark black rather than the wishy washy grey (you know this has been an issue for me and I would love to be able to have option to have the colours as I prefer if possible. the grey writing is a strain on my eyes at times.
-
Thanks Paul and Smudger. I've changed the main text colour (in the lists etc) on the "Dark" theme to jet black (it doesn't go any blacker ;)) Let me know what you think!
-
Ive gone dark...like it ;D
