Title: thinking of changing over to cleaner planner
Post by: dazmond on November 06, 2014, 12:40:44 am
.........as ive just bought a samsung galaxy note 3. so would i be able to have the mobile app on it?with the main software installed on my laptop?

im also planning on getting a new laptop in the new year as my acer aspire is 5 years old now and is getting a little tired!

im interested in the basic package.is it £15 a month?

how do i pay for it?is there an option to pay a year upfront on my credit card?

and is it easy to import my round from george so i dont have to input each job manually?

also is it easy to send invoices by email to commercial customers for example?

cheers fellas.how are you guys getting on with it compared to george, wcp etc?

Contact Rob at Cleaner Planner he can set it up for you from your George for you to try for 30 days free.

Mobile app is great - load it up with your worksheets (takes seconds) then you have all your jobs for the day and debt list on you. Tick them off during your break if you like.

Don't know but you can monthly on credit card

Send Rob a backup, up and running in no time with no data input

also is it easy to send invoices by email to commercial customers for example?

Very very easy. Raises the invoice, then send its.

Loved George, but just too basic now.

cheers fellas.the main reason i want to switch is my pda is playing up a bit which has been been great for a year or so and at the moment its a bit of a pain sending invoices by email using george.

i much prefer sending invoices by email.saves printing them.sometimes the paper ones get lost and then i get paid even later!

also the samsung galaxy note 3 comes with a stylus with a fantastic large screen which i think would be great with a mobile app.

what about backing up work?do you back it up to the cloud?is it easy to retrieve your work if your phone/laptop dies?

You can retrieve it from any computer with an internet connection.

Thanks guys :)

Hi Dazmond - I'm a tad biased of course but it sounds like taking Cleaner Planner for a spin would definitely be a smart move for you.

If you're used to using the PDA with George you'll find CP works in a similar way. You download your worksheet(s) at the start of the day, work offline during the day and upload when you get back in. On the Samsung you won't need 3/4G just wifi in the morning/evening as the app works 100% offline during the day.

Email invoicing is fully integrated into CP, you don't need to leave the software, if you have a business email address then we hook that up directly to CP so you can email PDF invoices (with your logo) directly from CP, no need to export the file attach it to an email, type in the customer's email address etc etc = big time saver.

Backing up - I backup your database hourly but for your own peace of mind you can also download a ZIP file of your entire account (e.g. to put on a USB stick) whenever you want, and if you go for the Pro package you can backup your entire account across to Dropbox with a single click! That way it's backed up to your own cloud space and sync'd down to your PC/Mac as well. In short - if your phone or laptop dies it will have zero impact.

Anyhoo, if you fancy giving it a go or you have any questions feel free to get in touch and I'll talk you through it rob@cleanerplanner.com

I find the Cleaner Planner forum brilliant - get stuck, post a question and there's usually someone who gets a reply in even before Rob.  ;D

Thanks guys, yep, loving the Cleaner Planner forum (https://app.cleanerplanner.com/forum/) myself! OK yep pretty handy that sometimes other helpful people answer the questions before I do ;) But it's also a fantastic way of capturing new ideas for the software. I've just overhauled the forum so you can now post "Ideas" or "Questions" (or "General" for comments/chat/banter) and then other users can vote up your idea.

Even if you're not signed up to Cleaner Planner feel free to take a peak and see what's going on. Lots of great ideas being discussed on there atm:

https://app.cleanerplanner.com/forum/

Frank - tab is top right while you're signed in. Deliberately kept it subtle as didn't want to ram it in people's faces! It shows a number next to it if there are new posts so you know to have a look.

Damo - referral scheme is on "the list" as well - watch this space!

I am thinking along the same lines as Daz.

Sending email invoices really appeals to me. Can I add a header and also a footer to the invoice? Also can you set it up so the email will send automatically when the job is marked as 'done'?

Click the job is done. Click raise invoice. Check it's correct (will be). Send. DONE.

Yeah you can add loads like bank details. Notes etc etc.

It's great. I hated email invoices. Even though I do very little that require an invoice.

Nothing worse than email back saying no attachment lol

Dazmond ...... do yourself a favour and get a macbook air instead of a windows laptop .

no boot up times just open lid and its ready , no slowing down , last for years .

its like going from a broadaxe pole to an extreme .

+1, bought a refurbished air in the states last month, great little machine. They'll probably get cheaper too as Apple rumoured to launch a new air next year.

Not like iPads then. My ipad 2 has got slower and slower with every iOS upgrade. Stick with Windows Daz, more software, better performance for the money. A £1,000 pc will be better performing than a £1,000 Apple. The one thing I do like about Apple is the virus protection.
