Karrimor boots are such bad quality. When they were bought over the quality went out the window . I stick with caterpillar & timberland!

And why do you need to look fashionable whilst out cleaning windows? It's work, not a fashion show.

I am crippled with bad heels at home now.
Karrimor boots were good. Used to last 2 years, then a year, now 4 months and they are ********ed! I am really annoyed as after 4 months the insole is so thin and its caused plantar fasciitis for me.
Went and purchased some expensive gel in soles and its helped loads today but the pain is unbearable. Spoke to the chap in sports direct and they get several complaints a week now about Karrimor and people with the same issue. Painful feet and heels!
Done with Karrimor boots now, total ****ing ***** !!!!!!

My daughter has just bought some Fit Flop shoes (actually I paid for them) and they have helped enormously with Plantar Fasciitis. I doubt the cause was those boots though.

The boots are not the main issue. Its the insole. Its almost worn through in less than 4 months. The boot without a insole is horrible to walk in. I had to wash them some weeks back and forgot to put them back. Like another poster said in here. They are crap now.

Having searched for karrimoor crap on the internet i am not the only one

I have two pairs of Berghaus Explorers - I had to come home yesterday lunchtime because my feet were soaked - total crap! After recommending them a few years ago I'll never buy another pair.
Wife bought me a pair of Regatta Goretex boots from a charity shop six months ago - they haven't leaked yet. :o
-
ive had 3 pairs in 6 years dave.they normally last around 18-24 months before they are knackered if worn every day for work.
only had one pair leak and that was after nearly 2 years of wear!
i think you were just born unlucky!! ;D ;D
-
I paid £45 for a pair of Regatta isotex boots.
Leak like a sieve after 4 months, falling apart after 6
-
Dunlop wellingtons £10 never leak ;)
Or grubs/mucka boots if you want to be posh.
-
Our family have had just about every audi and never had problems with them!
Audi...A4,A3, A3 black edition s line, q7 and rs4
My brothers just test drove the new rs6 but has desided to buy the new mercedes c63 amg beast!
Incase your wondering he isnt a window cleaner

Yes they do mate. My Dunlop wellys got a hole in them
-
I say this every time and everyone ignored me. Dr martens 'for life boots'. Guaranteed replaced for life when worn out. Totally waterproof and still on first pair after 4 years. They look great as well

I bought these on your recommendation Daz.
I'm about a year in and think they're great.
For those saying they're crap, are you doing anything like putting them on a radiator or in the airing cupboard? That does them damage, impairing the water proofness.
They to dry naturally.

My grubs boots that i use for fishing cost me £60
dunlop wellies for work! great for standing around using a pole

Probably going to go for work boots next - even though I'm not a fan of steel toe caps. They just seem better value for money.
Doc Martens? Had them years ago and found them lethal on wet grass.
I've gone through about four pairs of cheap waterproof boots, a pair of guaranteed waterproof Hitec boots (lasted two weeks). About six pairs of Berghaus Boots (just don't last) one pair of Brashers (lethal soles that completely wore out in under a year but never leaked). Just trawling the internet now for something decent.

Walking boots are made for footpaths and not concrete. They aren't suitable for work because the soles aren't long lasting on concrete.

I've been using a pair of Hi-tec walking boots for about 6 months:
http://www.milletsports.co.uk/more-sports/outdoor/walking-and-hiking/mens/boots/hi-tec-eurotrek-wp-mens-hiking-boots/?utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=organic&gclid=CjgKEAjw-6WcBRCsgNjFy-2OuGYSJADf4R2s7u9HUi7GmMGoAoyh74VyESHZiahukBcAz97Gsaowt_D_BwE
Still as dry as a bone and very comfortable.
Soles give good grip but dog poope is a bugger to remove if trodden in and has to be hosed off. ::)roll
-
I could be wrong but are work boots cheaper than hiking boots because they are vat free?

Don't know if it's the VAT but yeah, walking boots are much more expensive.
My steelies were about £50. My walking boots were about £150.
