just read that i need to disconnect the DI to flush the membrane?

Yes I disconnect mine as I get a small amount of product water which is disregarded.
My friend has a 4040 from another supplier which doesn't produce product water when flushing so doesn't disconnect.

I did think the resin was getting used quickly!!

Lol i didnt know that will try to disconnect mine from now.

You'd be surprised how much it eats the resin when you do this.. i have forgotten a few times when flushing.
