Has anybody had this before?
I'm suffering from it now whilst cleaning 4 blocks of council housing flats in Stoke.
Has anybody got any ideas of how to combat it?
-
er.... I'm not sure what window cleaning based anxiety is? ???

Chill out & calm down.

anxiety is first sign of dementia, be worth you getting it checked out

Pack up, sell your round and go back to being employed.
When that's your other option you realise there's nothing to be anxious about!
-
Take Saturdays off - normally cures it. ;)
-
Go domestic & private commercial only, work to live, not the other way round! ;)

i suffer from the same condition as dart players suffer , you know the thing where they cant let go of the dart. in my case i start cleaning a window and can't get the brush off the glass . sometimes takes hrs to do one house . on the plus side custys think i'm value for money ;D

i dont understand why you would be worried about if the job will take longer... or if you have priced it correctly.
think of it this was: if the job takes longer than planned, work harder next time and learn from it for other projects/contracts.
If your worried you have under priced a job, just remmeber in theory it actually costs us wated fed polers very little to do a job! so if its slightly under priced either bite the bullet or increase it! but most important never worry we have the best job in the world!!!!

Get rid of the ladder if you have one
Don't follow The Arsenal (you'll get much much worse)

This condition will be stopped with a bullet between the eyes..

I've had simmilar feeling on most of the rounds that I have bought. My only advise is to give the work 2 or 3 cleans to find out how long it takes and how lucrative the job is. All your worries will be either confirmed or forgotten about by then.
Also from past experience, My gut feeling when pricing these jobs tends to be roughly there or even well priced these days, just give it some time, if you find it unworkable sub it out or ditch it.
Problem solved.

Part of the problem yesterday was that the residents of these housing association flats don't like us cleaning them at weekends because they like a lie in,
I've spoken to the caretaker there in the past and not one of them have got a job, so it boils my blood when talking to them about their lie in time. We also clean the stairwells internally so have to buzz to get in and with it being 11am the majority of the residents were still in bed.
Its all good fun though,
I've got today and tomorrow off to let the windows based anxiety to subside. Ha.

100% stop drinking!!
Drinking is nice though James,
I see you're based in Exeter mate,
We were down there 2 weeks ago cleaning the Uni,
We love the place and stop down in Dawlish when working in the city.

James,
On a serious note, do you use an RO down there or just run from DI?
We need to fill up fast with it being a large site so just fill straight into the tank and use the DI to purify the water.
What is your TDS? About 80ppm?
We are around 300ppm up on Stoke so we have to use RO then DI from our base,
Cheers,
Dean.
