Title: slx 30
Post by: pikeman on January 31, 2013, 06:06:55 pm
Is there a section you can get to extend the slx 30. Had some velux and had to stand on the van roof to reach them. Not good h and safety i know. Will only need it for this one job so dont want to spend too much.

You can fit the following to the base of the SLX30

Base Section No.7 from a SLX35 - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/sl-x25-35-super-max40-47-replacement-sections.html
Section No.7 and Base Section No.8 from a Super-Max40 - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/sl-x25-35-super-max40-47-replacement-sections.html
Section No.7, Section No.8, Section No.9 and Base Section No.10 from a Super-Max47 - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/sl-x25-35-super-max40-47-replacement-sections.html
Section No.7 and Base Section No.8 from a Super-Max45 - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/super-max45-50-replacement-sections.html
Section No.7, Section No.8 and Base Section No.9 from a Super-Max50 - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/super-max45-50-replacement-sections.html

Still not decided like the look of the extreme 47. Quite a bit of money though, but could sell my slx30 to go towards it. Could i break the extreme 47 down to use as a every day pole and what permutations could there be. One for alex i suppose

Hi Pikeman

If you are looking at the Xtrem47, but want to 'break it down' a lot of the time then I would recommend buying an Xtreme25 with the Xtreme35 and Xtreme44 twin extension packs. This would give you three poles in one and each handle section would be insulated. If you were to buy the Xtreme25 with these two extensions this works out at £2 more than buying the Xtreme47. However you would have about 3ft shorter total reach. Once you have the Xtreme44 though you can then carry on and add a telescopic extra section to get it to 49ft and then another 5 modular extensions to get it to 75ft.

This video shows how the Xtreme25 works with the twin extension packs - http://youtu.be/dpc78IzAFRc

the pole i use at the moment is a supermax 45, i have it stripped down to a slx 22 (ish) which i do most of the work with then i just addd the bottom when i have higher windows, i can do this in 30 seconds i timed out of interest the other day, the pole is that good i think i will continue to do this for about two years and then buy an slx and have the old one just as a supermax dazmond style
