I have a few Facelift poles, and i don,t know about anyone elses experience with them but in mine the Facelift clamps actually snap if you over extend them. Glue is good though !!
But yeah, as you say, desperation. He slags everything from chinese crops sprayers to , erm, anything that isn't sold by him ;D Very bad form, i wouldn't use them again, just for that fact.
Window Cleaning Warehouse bought out Facelift, so maybe he's getting his Facelift gear from them, who knows ?!

please explain?

Facelift poles- yesterdays technology I'm afraid!
I've had one, 44ft carbon, well, sold as 44ft but actually just over 40ft in reality! Granted, they were pretty good when they first came out, but having said that, there wasn't that much for them to beat out there!
There doesn't seem to have been any development on these poles since they first came out either- apart from the F1 variant- and even that seems limited.
Nowadays IMO they are overweight, over-priced old hat!
I ditched it when I got my hands on the first release SLX- which incidentally blew it in to the weeds!! ;D
I think Craig (along with many others- but who have the grace to withhold their frustration) is probably just sick to the gut that his own efforts don't match up to the Gardiner supremacy! ;)
Great products speak for themselves. 8)

Companies House for you young man - pronto! :P

Yep, then a list of flash vehicles etc. ::)
-
I'd also like to know how they can use the term "lightweight" AND sleep at night!! :o
Check out the 50ft, same actual length as the Xtreme 47 & well over DOUBLE the weight! ;D
-
Just read this thread, no wonder people think window cleaners are thick
It would take a "thick" window cleaner to buy one of these poles.
-
Craig sells crop sprayers/backpacks.
-
very expensive site. i looked at the 11 litre di vessel £92 exl vat & delivery. i can get a 11litre di vessel complete full of resin for £110 delivered. thats just one example. :o :o :o
-
I bought a Polarbrite controller a couple of years ago.

Do you think this type of sarcy comment reflects well on you or your company. You come accross very much like Glyn used to, just not quite as bad.

Craig, why do you even bother replying to these people.
Every successful manufacturer has been driven of this forum (Omnipole Ionics etc)
It is pointless arguing with them. You can't beat the Green Eyed Monster, especially when they are anonymous on a forum

Your not wrong David, yes no e mail, no web site, no company name, probably no work hence why there's about 20,000 posts from one person, I'm only talking about the few arguing ones, most on here are decent hard working chaps...

what you mean is every shady supplier with bad ethics and terrible customer service has been driven off the forum, and as for green eyed monsters just mention the word gardiners and it has certainrival suppliers frothing at the mouth!

I don't think anyone is frothing !!!! Maybe you should visit our trade counter, and ask our clients about our customer service...

That is good service and you and i both know that i know nothing about your business or your customer service, but Craig stop with the Gardiner hating its a battle you will not win. I wish I was as successful as alot of posters on here, you even! but I dont snipe at every oppertunity that would be stupidity of the highest order.

There is room for all the poles on the market as i think they are aimed at
Different people. The Gardiner poles are defo lighter stiffer and cheaper but are not as
Robust as the facelift poles.
So if it is for a guy working on his own with anough time to look after your pole adjust clamps etc then I know the Gardiner is the best choice but if it's for staff with the pole
Getting a beaten every day then I think the facelift is more up to the task.

I will say now, I have no problem with other suppliers, needs to be less paranoia !!

Gardiners poles stand up to the rigours of staff
We only use Gardiners poles and my staff abuse them big time, and every one i have ever bought is still in service, unlike my pile of redundant excell poles

Unless its gardiners ;)

And there speaks a man of great experience.
I on the other hand have only got 2 Gardiner SLX's - one is 5 years old and in daily use and the other is 3 years old and in daily use.
Absolutely superb poles. Light - stiff and very strong.
Gardiner's service is outstanding and consistent - I mean where else do you get the owner of a business of such success yet who is willing to spend time emailing me (a small 2 man operation) with answers to pole/brush questions and as to how to set up my transfer pump and controller?
I even asked questions about van purchase and he posted replies that were helpful.
The reason Gardiners is so successful is that (besides a top quality core product - the slx) its owner treats all his customers with respect and not simply as means to make money.
-
sounds like the andrex advert

Yup. I 100% agree.
I had a problem with the charging socket on a trolley - it was broken. A small minor thing maybe but the customer service and more importantly, the attitude towards it by Alex Gardiner was 10 out of 10. It's not that I only buy Gardiner's stuff because I don't. I prefer the Ionics pole to Gardiners. I also prefer the Streamline microbore to Gardiner's.
I also read on here Alex Gardiner's replies to question and sometimes questions about competitors and their products, and I'm sorry Graig, but you really need to think about how you come across. I would not now buy anything from your company based on what you've posted here whereas Gardiners is always an option.
-
so his di vessel empty costs £110.40 where as others are £110 full of resin
i would say thats expensive compared to others. so his are 40p dearer for an empty vessel. so for 40p less i can get a vessel full of resin i know where i will be buying.
-
I will say now, I have no problem with other suppliers, needs to be less paranoia !!
Yes you do. You call their back packs and trolleys cheap chinese imports, wheras you have a real made in UK thing. You say don't put up with crap glue clamps (a clear dig at Gardiners) and then you tout Facelift poles as the 'ultimate domestic/commercial pole'. As others have noticed, you never miss a chance for a snipe. Maybe its warranted lets have a look.......????
http://www.polarbrite.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_20_49_88&products_id=860
Facelift 30foot Hybrid Pole.......starting at £299 Plus VAT, weight 2.71 KG
http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/info_CLX.html
27 foot 'hybrid' pole............£150 Plus VAT, weight 1.80 KG.
Thats before you put a brush on the end. Any ideas for a good brush? ;D ;D
I suppose getting the more expensive option buys you quality? I'll post you some pics of a Facelift pole with less than 12 months wear.

Whats anonymous got to do with it, the facts speak for themselves? As do peoples choices. You really think everyone stopped buying Ionics and Omnipole because they are jealous?!!! I don't think so.
-
You can get an SLX-30 - a true 30ft (not 30ft reach including the 3ft off the ground) for £309 at 1700 grams!

I guess anonymous could mean it's a supplier dressed as a purchaser, nothing to prove different like ( no real name)
-

I'd imagine the main people skill that you'd need to sell Facelift poles over some of the others on the market is 'hypnosis'. There's some great other makes out there besides Gardiners.
-
Talking of poles there is a new pole coming to the Market in the next three to four months, by all accounts it's going to be a world beater.
So anyone that's thinking of a new pole might want wait a little while.
