company name is stapro they do chemicals in my local shop think it was called something like double shot its a 3kg tub its a preclean chemical like prochems powerburst but has anyone tried it as its half the price of prochems power burst and wondering if its any good i dont want to try it without knowing bit more about it
-
stapro i believe are the manufacturer for a lot of the own brands sold by chemical suppliers.
they are a quality company.... but if its half the price of powerburst then it won't cost a lot to buy 3kg of it
-
Prochem do a product named that...

If there's one thing you should never scrimp and save on in our profession, it's the chemicals. Buy the best you can and never worry about the cost.
The rest will fall into place ;)
-
its only like £13 a tub of it but its a risk to use on customers property as dont know the out come of the finishing product
-
sorry dont hold me to its name on the tub as cant fully remeber the name of it but the suplier said it use to or sometimes has double shot on it. i know the power burst does really well but if i can get product for less for same results il swap over
-
Is this the one you mean, Double Hit ?

lol ye thats the one

i have tried it and would say i wasnt that impressed, in general my rule is if aproduct works stick with it. Everybody claims their product is better and more ecomomical but time has told me this is very rarely true, something that is cheap is cheap for a reason.
I tend to stick to power burst and champion as top line pre sprays and craftex ph7 pre spray on wool carpets along with premium clean or top grade powder for bad jobs and fibre safe gold as my general tank cleaner.
Served me well why change.

Stapro have been around for a long time and their products do what it says on the tin.
-
So does Tesco value coffee but it dont taste great!
If it`s cheap and works well, all fine but in general it`s cheap for a reason.
If it`s cheap and worked well we`d all be using it and suppliers would stock this insead of prochem, chemspec etc.

Double hit is an enzyme product, i think powerburst is enzyme free,
so 2 different products
-
Solutions sell a nice little enzyme product worth a try.

Stapro became known to me about 30 years ago before Prochem or many others and they have a pretty comprehensive range. Not only that thay will make a product to your requirements.
-
I must be on a Solutions mission, right I shall redress the balance
Alltec, Big Clean, Cleansmart, Ashbys, Chemspec, Prochem, Restormate....

so the finishing product isnt so good with this stuff so i think i will just stay with what i know customers are happy with

sorry for this silly question and yes laugh but as someone said stapro is a enzime cleaner and prochem powerburst doesnt have it so when would you use enzime and is it strong than not using enzime ? sorry
-
We used to use Stapro Upholstery Cleaner no.2 for years on viscose velours.
It was awesome stuff (early 90s) not sure if its still available or not. It was a water & solvent based product that you had to shake to mix prior to use as it separated in the bottle.
-
oh yes that was good stuff, would love to get some in.
-
Craftex used to supply us with it. Not seen it on their line up for years.
-
There were changes at Stapro a few years ago including them taking over Bio Productions who sold a fantastic concentrate which I believe was enzymatic. Brilliant product.
-
Stapro is owned by Bio Productions. This company manufacturers most cleaning chemicals in the UK. Ashbys, Alltec, Extracta etc all buy their powder (or get it made) from Bio Prodcutions.
Stapro range for CC is excellent, expecially StaKill as a Urine Bacteria Deodoriser, we use this all the time in Hospitals and Nursing Homes, very strong 'hospital ant-bacteria smell'!!
