I have just ordered the black one it says it comes with a built in scraper are they any good?
-
The brush is great on maintenance cleans but I using a different brush for first cleans and scrapper is pointless unless u got the carbn gooseneck that's supposed go with it
-
Even then the scrapper is next to useless.
-
without doubt the best brush on the
market makes my supa lite dual trim
feel like the heavist vikan ever ;D ;D ;D
-
Even then the scrapper is next to useless.
If used with the pole at angle of 45° and the brush head turned upside down the scraper will engage with the glass quite effectively. In usual use I just angle it upside down on to one corner of the scraper and find that this is sufficient.
Within a few weeks there will be a smaller brush socket attachment which will allow the scraper to be utilised even with a plastic angle adapter fitted.
To be honest though any plastic scraper is going to have a limited efficiency when compared with a proper metal scraper blade. When having these built we decided it was worth having it on the brush as opposed to not having it on - better than nothing!

It is a fine cleaning brush and I use it daily. The weight is superb to work with but the bow on the stalk makes all but the very edge of the machined part scraper useless. I will however buy more when needed.

Glad to hear it's getting regular use :) - The latest batches do not have this slight bow on the stock.
Even with a slight bow on the stock (I also have several older brushes), I can still get all of the scraper face in contact with the glass, but I have to step back slightly to get the right angle on the pole.

alex its a superb brush
iand i for one will b having more ;D ;D

When will the new brushes be available (where the scraper can be used with the standard plastic socket).

Should be 2 weeks tops.

Was going to order one today so will wait for the new batch if its only 2 weeks. Many thanks

I use the black with with the normal socket and have used the scraper about twice for removing really hard bird muck to one side like alex said and it does work fine.
-
does anybody know if it is possible to fit the socket with the scraper to the standard super-lite brush range dont really want to buy another one when i already have 3 superlite's
-
It's not a socket mate. The extreme brush is angled all along it's top side to make it scrape when turned upsidedown. You turn it upsidedown by turning your pole 180 degrees, you don't have to take the brush of or anything.

cheers ronnie , i assumed wrong as on ebay there is a plastic AD with scrubbing pad which you need to flip over to use its a tebuk product , under ebay shops rswindowcleaning though it might be similar , £22.00 it was be better off buying extreme brush if i feel i need to , thanks again
-
First day with the Extreme today and im impressed :)
It feels so light and easy to work with, i think im gonna buy the white one now as well ;D
-
The Xtreme brushes are fantastic! I'm knocking time off jobs left right & centre by using them. It makes you realise that you never actually needed a brush any bigger or heavier in the first place! ;)
-
Ive just received my new extreme brush anc carbon goose neck, and fitted it to my slx. Goodbye aqua-dapter

Yes i know,
But the reason for me getting the extreme was to simply reduse the weight
-
which brush is everybody using the extreme standard or wide and is there as many bristles
on each brush as the standard superlite mono brush single trim , cheers mike
-
Standard, not as may bristles as a normal SL
-
lee do you feel its as good as the standard superlite and do you use yours with plastic AD, really keen on getting one now as i need a few other things from gardiners sooner than 2wks
-
I think it's much better than a standard SL, I can only compare it to the SL mono's but the bristles are softer and require far less pressure on the brush. And I use with a plastic Angle adapter
I now use the White xtreme for everything.

The wide one or standard?

Standard one.

Get the standard sl dual trim flocked black brush . The extreme is not rugged enough for my liking ;D
-
cheers lee mate , james i already have standard superlite dual flocked dont like it , i have a dual and single trim mono brushes prefer single mono

I can almost guarantee you'll like the white Xtreme if you like the ST mono.
Once you use it you'll see why! ;)
