Title: Has anyone else receive very poor customer services for Cleaning Spot Ltd
Post by: Central Window Cleaners on October 21, 2010, 02:12:19 pm
Has anyone else had any problems with Cleaning Spot before?

They have shipped me the wrong goods and are being very unhelpful in correcting the problem telling I have to pay postage to return the wrong items and wait weeks till the correct items will be shipped.

no probs off me, i find them the only company that stocks absolutely everything i need!

postage is a rip off though. unless you spend over £50 then its free.

you are entitled not to pay for returning goods that are faulty or wrong, that is the law!
and a refund as well until the goods come back in.

They have shipped me the wrong order and are refusing to arrange collection and expect me to pay postage to return the item.

They are also refusing to ship the correct items I ordered until they receive the item shipped by them back and investigate how orders were mixed up. HE said it could take a couple of weeks to sort out.

I explained the order was required for a new contract we have won and he is not willing to help or do anything about my order or refund my money until the item they shipped in error is returned.

I also explained that this was the first time I have used them and due to the way he was speaking to me and the fact that he was being very unhelpful in resolving the problem it was probably the last time I would use them.

ordered some gear off them, end clips where put on back order. Never arrived. Phone twice and they said they sent them but never received them. Suppose to sent out more but haven't got anything. I know its only a few quid, but its the principle.

I have had almost the same issue with them.   Ordered some parts i desperately needed, but the courier failed to deliver them on 3 attempts - so had to place an order elsewhere.

I phoned to cancel the order and get a full refund - but they would not refund the shipping cost - in the end gave them a dressing down over the phone and 2 days later the fulll refund was issued.

Used cleaning spot for several years and no problem. Last 2 months have been awful. Returned goods took 2 months to come back to me! no phone call or email, and didnt return my calls. No compensation just 'im sorry' I do like the guys but im afraid if i want something in a hurry i wont be using them again. Gardiners have always been great

THEY ARE RUBBISH

Ive ordered from Cleaning Spot in the past, recently had an order for 2 Salmon brushes and 2 angle adaptors, it all arrived.

No complaints.

I think its only fair if you have a poor opinion of a company and voice that opinion that you back it up with factual evidence.

THEY ARE RUBBISH helps no-one.

THEY ARE RUBBISH
totally agree . it is easy to say never had a problem when they send the right stuff out on time . but you find out what that company is like when they mess your order up . like these imbeciles did with mine a couple years back . they didnt want to know . expected me to pay all shipping costs ,wouldnt send out my right order until i had rectified ther mistake . total and utter morons , wouldnt order a thing off them again

The Inline TDS monitor they shipped in error will cover the cost of what was not shipped so won't be out of pocket and could use it but is a nice to have item that I wouldn't have ordered normally.

I ordered 3x 22" Channels and 4x Unger S Handles  how the hell do you mix up the two.

actually the only time i had a problem was when i ordered a reel, and thought the spindle was missing, so complained and they sent a new one free of charge, i then eventually found it somewhere, so sent it back to them. so they were actually good in that instance.

Most online suppliers wont refund postage costs when you want a refund or return an item.

This is Amazons policy

Postage Costs
Postage costs to return unwanted goods or warranty returns are non-refundable. If you purchase product from a shop you would have to pay for transport to and from the shop to exchange it.

that would be fair enough if you ordered and changed your mind or decided it was not actually the part you needed, but when you put in an order and the completely wrong part/item is sent then I would not expect to pay to have it put right, I mean if I went to the shop and said can I have a packet of polo mints and I was given a mars bar, I would hand it back there and then.

For the original poster- that's disgusting customer service! I would demand a conversation with the owner or manager!

Thanks for the info though, I was about to place an order with them this weekend! Will go elsewhere now. ::)

A proper example would be-

I ordered a new pump box from cleantech, the pump in it wasn't working properly & making a funny noise. Phoned them up & explained, after going through a few fault finding solutions they agreed something wasn't right. They sent out a replacement pump immediately & it was at my door the next morning. I sent the faulty pump back & they payed the postage on everything! ;) Job done, top customer service. :)

A back to base warranty is NOT illegal, if you went to argos to buy a camera, and it was faulty, they would not come to collect it, you'd have to get it back to them one way or another.

The reason it has to be return to base at your cost is because sometimes the breakage/fault will not be a warranty issue, so why should the supplier pay for example a pole that has been dropped or run over to be returned. however we always say if it turns out to be a warranty issue we will set a credit up on the system for what it has cost for you to send it back (aslong as a receipt is sent).

However if the wrong part is sent in error it is our responsibility to get the item collected.

That is what I said to him when he started getting stroppy with me. All I want is for the correct order to be shipped and for him to collect someone else order that they have shipped to me.

Thats why I like internet ordering,.. its all in black & white & if a mistake is made I have proof. Ordering over the phone can be quicker, but if you've a funny accent (or if the sales person does) then miscommunication can happen far too easily.

Wouldn't distance selling regulations come in to it?

Hi
trouble is that you can also do yourselve a disfavour by telling them that you will never deal with them again - the obvious reaction would be 'stuff you then'.
Sometime the Wayne Rooney effect doesn't work.

Mostly an injustice like this is not worth the stress you are causing yourself. By letting it pass and never ordering from them again can be you own silent revenge, and you can have a quite chuckle every time you see an advert that they have paid for trying to get the person back that they had in the first place and lost. They will never know though, but that makes no difference. You are justified for never dealing with them again = inner peace.
