Title: Sloping ground.
Post by: Jonathan Spencer on September 23, 2010, 08:38:49 am
Right I have been asked to clean a big house.  The driveway slopes away from the house by quite a bit.  What safety device should I get for this or should I just give it a swerve?

I hammer pegs into the ground if this is not possable I would tye base of ladder to the walls of the house, matts and pegs as well. Or use a sand bag.

I would absolutely second this.  If WFP not available, use a trad pole with hand tools.  I never fully trusted ladder stoppers myself.

Would that be ok.  Put a bag of sand behind too?  It is a road where if I get noticed it could mean a lot of good priced work.
