Just checked this and their latest check in is 9pm.  I don't land until 9.30pm then got to do the normal like go through customs, collect bags and then go and get car so earliest I can see me getting there is 11.30pm.  Is there a hotel a bit bigger in easy reach of the venue?  How far is Southport?

Southport is rough...hotel wise. I would stay at a hote near the airportf and make your way over in the morning.

You would not take your misses or boyfriend there for a holiday ...but the holiday Inn chain are generally ok. Let me know and i will have a run over and check it is suitable/clean for you.

No its OK Chris but thanks for the kind offer.  It has 80 Reviews 56 of them outstanding 20 Saying great and the usual 4 moaners.  I am also a member of the IHG so they won't get it wrong and I usually get an upgrade anyway.
