Truck mount wanted
« on: September 06, 2009, 10:27:25 am »
I currently have a Prochem Trailblazer truck mount, still in good order and with less than 4000 hrs on the clock. I am looking for a Truck mount which I can fit into a short wheelbase Transit, either as a part excahange or to buy. Anyone help?

Why not fit the Prochem(do you mean Blazer) into the Transit?

Thanks for the input Dave, I have a Trailblazer which is bigger than a Blazer and wont fit into a SWB Transit, and the new LWB Transit is 2 inches too tall to fit in my garage!! I,ve always used smiley face LWB Transits before, which are smaller than the newer models. Ideally I'd like a blazer mounted on the fresh water tank, to give more room in the back.

Do you want equal power to your machine of could you do with leass. Don't think the Prowler would give you more than a what you have.

The Pheonix which is the Hydramaster/Solutions offering seams to offer the most performance in a small package- still not sure you would get a belly tank setup in a normal roof though. I have an upright tank for mine and there is reasonable room.

The Prochem Blazer will definately fit into a SWB Transit, mounted on the water tank.

fit in yes, but with a full tank of water and chems and all the other add ons we have you will surely be over the weight limit

Weight isn't a problem, they are relatively light TMs just get a 280 or greater.

If you have a low roof though I'd be more concerned about easy access, airflow and heat.
