Every day I go out without the ladders I'm a little bit more thankful I went WFP.

That's really tragic,my thoughts are with his poor family.
I drove home from Glasgow today, left at 7.15am and the frost was very heavy,im thinking maybe this had something to do with the weather?
Go to say though whilst in Scotland this last week I saw several trad window cleaners, the way they where cleaning was shocking very little thought for their or others safety.
Just wish the h&s executive would ban the use of ladders in window cleaning

I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that our thoughts are with the family and friends of the window cleaner that died in hospital after sustaining head injuries after falling from his ladder.

Very sad.

Best to find out the facts first before passing judgement about using ladders otherwise best not drive anywhere as more people proportionately die due to driving.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Not really Ross; the number of miles a person in a car drives or is carried before dying in a road accident in 2011 was almost 250,000,000 (250 million) miles. At 12,500 miles travelled (quite high) per annum it will take on average 20,000 years before dying as an occupant of a car.

More people die from driving; not proportionally more.

there was a guy down the road from me who died  from falling from a ladder window cleaning a few months ago.also an old guy i met a while ago told me his dad fell off and died in the 60s  window cleaning.

when i think of the risks i took 20 years ago(ladders in snow with no ladder safety device or spikes)ive been lucky.also ive fell off twice in 21 years and landed on my heels from 1st floor height(ladder slipping).

i seen the guy i used to work for on a main road the other morning.it was wet and windy and he had the ladders on the double yellow lines cleaning away at first floor height.he s 68!he fell off and broke his pelvis(ladder slipped sideways)about 25 years ago but he s happy to still climb ladders every day at 68! ::)roll
