don't get your hopes up too high - unlikely it will come down any further.
besides, only a year ago it was less than £1 a litre - now people think they are getting a bargain at 121.9p

And the govt seriously SERIOUSLY think theyre doing us a favour by not putting the extra 2p tax on a litre of fuel. All this when whatever you pay per litre that 66% of it is tax anyway.
If we still sold fuel by the gallon instead of the litre the proposed tax hike for the Autumn would have been approaching 10p a gallon, people would have been far likely to rebel at that; but because its sold in smaller volumes now they can get away with it, but it just means it SEEMS less tax.
Personally I reckon if they tried to hike 10p per gallon onto fuel they'd have had everyone out on the motorways not just lorry drivers holding all the traffic up.
