Any one out there thinking of Setting up a round in a different country?
Doorknockers took the opportunity to do this recently with an ex-pat in Spain,
He had been in Spain for 1 year, and in that time had gathered together monthly work of 850 euros.
He had tried all avenues of advertising open to him including Radio!
We came out here initially to find as much domestic work as possible, but 3 days in, we only had 4 customers signed up!
I took the decision to switch to retail, and found this to be much easier than domestic, the problem with domestic is, even though we were working in predominantly English estates, it was VERY hard to catch the little blighters in, plus all the houses in Spain have bars across the windows , locked gates, etc.
Only about 10% of houses actually had someone in that you could talk to, and half of those would be ´foreigners´
Retail was much easier because at least you could talk to someone in each and every case.
