Torch and batteries arrived and tested the torch off Ebay today in an empty property where the previous owner had a dog.
After all the comments on how about how ineffective it was going to be I wasnt expecting very much but it exceeded all my expectations and Im very pleased with my purchase. It showed up all the pools and loads of other stuff too. The customer was impressed and so was I.
There may well be much better torches available but for £20 all in, Im happy.
No offence to anyone.

That's a3w torch, the new 5 w are more powerfull, you don't need yellow glasses for them, and only a little dearer  ;)

Poul, do not mean that, the thing is everyone is buying the torches with 395nm wavelengh when for our job around 370nm is better for urine and other liquids. Anyway from what i can read on internet.
Possible is that 3w torch with 370nm will be better then 5w with 395nm uv light.

Sorry but comparing these cheap torches found on eBay to the ones I build is like comparing a cheap splash and dash service with a more expensive better quality service... Both appear to do the same thing to people who don't know any better lol

Like I said before... The LED modules I use cost more than the torches :-)
