Full Details - This one-day introduction to Carpet Care and Upholstery Cleaning techniques is invaluable to those new to the industry, or thinking of a profession within the textile cleaning industry as well as the professional carpet cleaners wishing to learn new skills and enhance their techniques. You can gain valuable knowledge from our industry recognised expert Mr. Steve Carpenter who has over 22 years of hands on experience in the Textile Industry.

Course Contents:-

8:45 am - Welcome and Coffee

9.00 am - Carpet identification including construction of carpets and how best to clean them. How to survey carpets properly, so that existing problems are highlighted with customers. We will show you how to select cleaning equipment, including practical demonstrations of the associated methods and techniques available, and how best to use them.

10:30 am - Tea and Coffee Break

10:45 - The correct and safe use of carpet cleaning solutions including spotting products and methods; The importance of cleaning effectively to achieve the right results first time, and how to avoid problems.

12:00 Noon - Lunch Break

1 pm - Introduction to fabrics and upholstery cleaning methods including fabric identification. How to survey soft furnishings properly, so that existing problems are highlighted with customers. How to select cleaning equipment, including practical demonstrations of the associated methods available for upholstery cleaning, and how best to use them.

3:00 pm - Tea and Coffee Break

3:15 - The correct and safe use of upholstery cleaning solutions including spotting products and methods. The importance of cleaning effectively to achieve the right results first time, and how to avoid problems.

4:30 pm - Carpet and Fabric Protection treatments and their use. How to clean and maintain carpets finished with soil and stain repellants.

5:00 pm - Question time and the opportunity for practical hands on experience cleaning carpet and Upholstery.
