run it for a few minutes, see if it drops , as some times dirt might stay in pipework/filters

Is the DI on a small RO system?  If so have you fitted the rubber on the top of the cartridge? If not a small RO, have you got the water going in the right way, there is little arrows on top of the DI tank?

OK it is the small RO system.  Have you got a rubber on the top of the cartridge?  If not then it needs one, or the water will be passing through the cartridge without going through the resin.

yeah i have put the rubber on top of cartridge, you mean not in the cartridge?
on top of outside of cartridge?
thats what i have done,i have tried many differnet ways and now itis tds 16
im scratching my head.
Would it be worth taking the new resin out of the cartridge and putting some more in?
I have the cartridge has a cross on top i pressume that means to go upwards?
 cheers for your advice

Has the cartridge got a screwed base or does it just come apart without screwing??

If it has the screw thread then where it screws is the bottom, and the rubber goes on top.

Is the cartridge held tight when the housing it tightened?  I have seen two rubbers needed to achieve this.  You can try flipping the rubber as well, although if this needs done the reading is not generally as high.

If the resin has not brought it down since your changed the resin then it won't be done. Worth a try changing it though.

What is the reading going into the DI?

I don't use this type but I think the part that comes off to fill goes to the top, instead of the other type with the screw on base that goes to the bottom.  Is this how you have it?  If not try turning it the other way.
