I still say its a drop in the ocean!! If you think at one time near every house in the uk used a washing machine every other day, thats a serious amount of chemicals finding there way into the eco system. But if 1 in 4 homes have a carpet cleaned once every 1 or 2 years, then what we contribute cant be doing huge amounts of harm if any!!
Dont get me wrong I'm all for a clean envioment and will do all I can to minimise polution.

Enviromental concern, of course, but we as Pro Carpet cleaners barely scratch the surface, when it comes to causing polution of the water system. Even diy roadside car washing does more harm with the detergents, waxes, and all the grime going directly down the storm drain.
