Totally gutted ( with photos )
« on: March 15, 2010, 12:40:43 pm »
Was booked into have a purefreedom van system fitted tomorrow, was really looking forward to it, big smile all weekend, then some pratt pulls out and smashes into van. Possibly write off according to recovery driver, not happy now.
But no one was hurt , in the end thats the main thing, I live to fight another day

I see a positive here... Imagine the hassle if your system was fitted and you had a tank full.

Not a nice thing to happen, but good that your shiny new toy wasdnt in there.

Hope you get it sorted soon matey

Be glad it didn't happen after having the system fitted, getting the money off of the insurance company for the system as well might of been a head ache.  And of course booking in to have the job done again.

Good to see your ok and I hope you get the problem sorted.

Simon.

sorry mate hope your back on your feet soon, my scudo looked like that a couple of years ago (ran over a dog) was off for a week, but spent the time canvassing, so worked out well in the end.

sorry to hear your bad news mate , something to bare in mind when your all sorted is www.alexanderswan.com insurance services if your van is insured with them and is involved in an accident you get a van fully fitted with a ionics 600 ltr thermopure system whilst yours is been repaired or replaced not sure on the prices though i have my PL insurance with them i find them to be a good company

I no how gutting it is mate, I got smacked up the back 6 weeks ago, van off road for 5 days 2 new back doors, new lights and bumper all new sign writing too, cost to insurance company was £1900. Its a nightmare when you have system in it, my insurance is due in 3 weeks and ill definatly will be looking for a company that provides a system in the van when you get a courtesy vehicle..

Crash repair company have phoned they estimate around £ 5500 to repair, thay say the turbo and other engine parts are smashed. Now the insurance company are sending out their own engineer to check damage.
Will keep you informed

I have a loan van at moment , a mercedes vito and would like to say to all those that moan about the Primastar, vivaro and traffic vans....leave them alone and  start moaning about the vito because it is horrible to drive compared to my primastar
