what do they look for

when you are quoteing to get a new client
what do you think they look for from you

price
quality of work
on site supervisor
payment terms
24 hour call out
professional look  staff uniforms/sign written vans
turning up every time
membership of cleaning associations

do you offer different terms of buiness to different customers or with larger companys
do you have to except there terms 30/40 days etc.

hi steavemc, i hope some one answer you on this as i would like to know what other people thoughts on this but as a manager turning up on time is a must first off second quality of work ,third payment terms forth, spot checks,and i should think you got the job on first impresions nice van if they looked out the window, and when you went to quoite you were in a suit or looked profeshional ,I NEED A SPELLCHECKER PLEASE. anyway i cant answer the terms bit  ,but would like to here from the rest of the forum on this,could be intresting

Just as every individual is unique, so are their reasons for selecting you - and there should be several rather than just one.

Quality of work, reliability and value for money being right up there.

It is down to your questioning skills to establish what their priorities are.

Here's a clue though; if they are experiencing problems in a specific area - for example reliability of the cleaners, then this will become more of an important factor in their decision making.
Success is where hard work meets opportunity!
