Nothing to do with carpet cleaning, but my 13 year old daughter is going to be doing a 5km swim next sunday for Parkinsons Disease which her Grandfather suffers from.

If anyone would care to make a donation of only £1 to help her and Parkinsons out then it would be appreciated.  Link to site is below.

Thanks

Everyone,

Thank you very much for your donations, it has really encouraged me to do this for my Grandad and Parkinsons Disease.  I have also been out collecting sponsors from my school and neighbours so I really want to reach my target.

I'm starting at 8 o'clock on Sunday morning and hoping to be finished by 11 o'clock, my dad has promised to cook dinner for Mothers Day!

Thank you again

Fay

Come on guys and gals, 148 views on here and 114 on the window side, we can do better than that! It's for a good cause against a nasty disease that could hit any one of us at any time....£1.00 won't break the bank, but could help someone you know in the future

I swim 50 lengths every week day morning... So doing a weeks worth in a day is well worth £10 ;) Well done!

Hi Guys

My dad suffered for years with Parkinsons.

Best way I can describe it is that it took away his retirement.

Good luck to Fay.

Although technically Parkinsons doesn't kill it is a catalyst for other ailments to do the job.
I witnessed my father-in-law suffer through this hideous condition. Someone who during the war years was a Spitfire mechanic keeping those fantastic machines in the air, did he really deserve for his time to end like it did?

Fay, I applaud you for what you are doing, trust me your efforts and money raised will be for a great cause.

Come on people we can do better than this.
For most carpet cleaners giving £10 would equate to 15 minutes work on a job.

My thoughts aswell, £182.00 raised to date off this site is very sad, if every member of the forum gave just a couple of quid,  Fay would raise alot of money for a very good cause!

Tell her not too worry Ian.
Its not the "winning" that matters - its the trying ones hardest that matters.
I am sure Fay will try her hardest.
I reckon the others will be in agreement with me - the money is going to a good cause whether she does the distance or not.

Ian, tell Fay that it won't be easy but then anything in life worth achieving is never was.
We'll all be thinking of her as she achieves her goal for her grandfather.
