just a quick research question.

laddersfree asked me to quote for a job (not saying who 8)) i have to go look at it as if i were a laddersfree rep, do the quote for ladders free so they can pass on the quote to the company who wants the windows cleaned.......they (laddersfree) will be using more than one window cleaning company to do the quotes, and will notify the winning shammy if their price was accepted.

does this sound like standard practice to you?...or should i leave it alone as it may be a case of me doing a free quote for laddersfree?

opinions please........(experts only need reply).....so dont bother responding to your own post scrimmy 8)

Sounds like a raw deal to me.  You do all the work with no control over what happens.

Why can't they just pass enquiries to you so you can submit your quote to the customer?  If you're a member of Laddersfree presumably your letterheads have their logo?

Do the qoute call up the company(the owns the building not ladderfree), and give them your price, tell ladders free thanks for the tip.

i looked at ladders free and it was something like £195 to join  but if they are asking window cleaners who are not members to quote and might get the job what is the point in joining them

they might just stick there percentage on top of all the quotes, so r making money no matter who gets it,

i remember reading on here about a bloke who was asked to quote on a job so did it and it turned out it was an other wc who didnt know how to price commercial,  prenteding to be a big company,  took his quote and handed it in him as self and got the job

Hi to all

Ladders Free was set up to offer national customers something different.
Most companies that have buildings across the country like to use one company but as we know the OCS, Initial and Mitie's offer a crap service but are the only true national contractors.

What ladders free do is take on a client that has sites across the country and manage the process and then sub the work out to trusted local companies.

It is a very clever business model.

If you can get it right with them i would think you would do as well out of them as they will do out of you.
