very happy today me and lad got through 70 houses today weather stayed fine everything went as clockwork hope tommorrow and the rest of the week goes the same how have you lads got on?
two of you 70 houses? dream on. :
Oh ye of little faith suds!
Let's give the benefit of the doubt here and imagine that these "small" houses have seven windows and two doors each. Let's also imagine that "some" are fronts only due to gate access issues and let's also imagine that "me and the lad" work seperately and the work is so compact that they can do several before moving the van.
Ok - let's think that if organised then between 8am and 4pm (when john k ran in the door and posted as fast as he could.) they do seven hours on the glass (allowing an hour to write slips, eat grub and move the van) at 5 houses per hour at 12 minutes each house because they're "cooking with gas" and not doing the frames and cills too thoroughly.
Therefore 35 houses each at say £6 a pop = £210 each.
Definitely do-able if as stated it "went like clockwork!"
Now if those houses were a bit more spaced or standard semi's with say ten windows and two doors then it'd be 56 houses at 4 per hour each at £8 a pop = £222 each - still doable.
