Something to seal up metal gutters

Any ideas? stop them leaking?
I did a gutter clean for a chap yonks ago who came out and gave me an old paint brush and this tin of what looked like thick black tar with hairs in (like fibreglass/0 and it could just be painted on even in the wet, that stuff was the puppys plums but never seen it since, any ideas??????????

you can get repair mastic for this from b@q , or you could use silacone sealant .

most silacone is waterproof they do a gutter repair that comes in a silacone size tube that will sort it out .
you can then keep your head lol .

sounds like the old boy gave you bitchemen or however its spelt, ive tried all mastics and sealeants on cast iron gutters and it never works unless you undo the sections and redo them up but bitumen works most times. just got to b and q or builders merchant and have a look

Screwfix do a repair putty type stuff in a tube, mix the two colours together and you can use it under water and it will still set,  got me out of the poop when I got a split my bucket on day.

as said before bitumen is the only answer for these type of gutters i used to fit loads when i did industrial roofing , you will need a blowtorch to heat up all the muck and scrape out it out first then just apply the bitumen liberally , make sure you charge enough as it can be time consuming to get it right , and its a messy job regards alan
