It would be interesting to know how old is the oldest tradder, but give or take a couple of years to keep their age private if they want. :)

Started in the late 60's (can't remember the exact year).  Still have a day's work a month that I do 'trad'

Turned 65 in December. ;)

There's at least two others on here older than me and still working full time on ladders :o :o

I have a mate who retired (not through choice)at 65 as a window fabricator, he hated doing nothing so started a small window round, him and his wife did it for a few years till she got very poorly so he sold me 90% of his work keeping back a few bungalows to “give him something to do”
After his wife recovered his round just kept growing.
He is now back to 5 full days a week, on ladders in all weathers. He is 74 and looks fitter now than he did the day they kicked him out of the factory at 65.
I keep telling him its time to give in coz I want his work ha ha

Cleaned windows first in 1959 when I worked for a guy for 6 months,
Went back to it 15 years ago, 3 and a half years WFP.
I'm 67 and can't retire as my Mrs is expecting in 6 weeks time.
