Slump

I know Brad and he has thick skin, he wasnt aware of the rules but now he is.

Alex and Glyn didnt self promote, they did answer questions about there own products, they never said "hey look at this" , that is for members to do not themselves.

They were both driven away by other issues.

This forum is open to supplier advertising and as such those who pay the money, get the option to "self promote" it would not be fair on those who do advertise watch every other supplier doing it for free.

If someone mentions certain suppliers thats ok, suppliers can even answer questions, as the topics are brought up by someone else.

I hope this clears up the confusion regarding suppliers.

i went many years without using any window cleaning programs or bothering with computers! ::)

i can honestly say george is simple, straightforward and easy to use, cheap to buy and does everything you want it to do for a small/medium window cleaning business.THATS IT!

i dont see the point in spending anymore than i need for a program that does exactly the same thing!maybe WCP is better for large businesses but for one man bands george is more than enough!

if any of you cant get your head round using george after a few weeks im sorry but you must be really thick!if i can, anyone can!!! ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

Yes fine, just thought it was good to air the issues.I've sent an email to Gordon Brown telling him it will be okay to start a topic but we will draw the line if he starts blubbing.

Both programs have a lot to offer.  I have used George for a number of years and it does everything I need as a sole operator.  My accountant likes the reports for year end accounting too.

There is a very easy learning curve with George to get up and running so is ideal for anyone with limited PC awareness.

However WPC appears more comprehensive and will probably be the way to go if your business grows, so as others have already said - it's horses for courses.

Customer Phone no's are on my PDA. Also put additional info - ie mobile etc in notes section.

If the round you are working is on the pda then all the custies in that round info will be there including phone numbers.
Is that what you mean?

You can have all the rounds on the pda , so all the info is at hand . If you want too.

Matt

You might have your George set-up incorrect.  I use George and Pocket George.  My Palm Zire shows Customer Name in full,  Address in Full and Telephone number in full.

Another useful item is the 'last done date'.  I've had a couple of customers say you're a bit early, i thought we agreed x weeks.  A quick check on Pocket Georhe and I can put them straight.
