Tell you what i do for you I'll measure it, take a pictures of it, weight it demonstrate it on video take more pictures of  the pole in rack anything else? now iv had my full English and im of to work with all my lovey ionics equipment. When i get home i will give you a full inventory of all my equipment cost spec and off course was it worth the expense. Why do you constantly pick holes in people who by ionics and there equipment? and before you start carping on about another mug who has spent his redundancy on a start up no i was a part time trad guy as i envisaged what was happening to my ex profession.

That was a very kind offer there Steve_c and I look forward to seeing those pictures and things! I wish others (myself included - I don't even know how to put pictures up -) were as selfless as you on this forum.

And as for Ewan constantly picking holes in Ionics buyers, I won't have that! No, sir! He is too busy picking holes in Gardiners buyers for that! At best he is only a part-time Ionics hole picker! So there! ;D

i used my brodex prolong aluminium today coz im a bit fed up with the ionic brush that came with my glyder i think it slows you down a bit the dual trim than a flocked brush whilst iv been waitin for my gardiners superlight brush to come and im in agony tonite with my back i didnt realise how much easier the work is with a lighter pole ya dont appreciate it enough till you go back to a heavier pole!!!

For a topic titled IONICS GLYDER POLE the info and reveiws are pretty scant. Can i suggest Ian moves this topic to the non related section as no one seems to have any idea  on the closed lenght, how it stacks against the SLX, and what are it's main advantages and drawbacks.
How does it compare on price?
What is the closed lenght?
Is it more robust? Will it last longer?

Obviously one advantage will be that they are in stock whereas the SLX isn't, but that might be because they are rubbish.I need a couple of poles, and as recent pole purchasers posting on here have started to raise doubts and concerns about Gardiners  it might be a good time to switch.

Go on convince me.

i havent heard any complaints about crappy clamps nuts yet
and black hands with the glyder as opposed to another well
known pole on here that seems to be a expensive constant
work in progress. :)

i used a gardiners superlite dual trim flocked today with mine and it didnt half speed me up id advise anyone to get one of these brushes the ionics brush is very stiff and not very well suited for domestic i dont think its not very smooth over the window frames quite small is size only thing it is good for is gettin rid of stubborn marks really.but anyone who does have this pole get yaselves a gardiners superlite brush asap

Reading some comments on here,

does it matter if a Glyder is 2ft, 3ft or 6ft

It doesn't matter what weight, size or anything really does it ?

I buy and use poles not because of how long they are, what weight, what make

I buy and use poles that i feel comfortable to work with, and more importantly what my lads like working with.

Example:
I wouldnt buy & use an Ionics Ergo-Lite or Slx & expect my lads to use something else.

I haven't got a Glyder, but i do have about 10 different Ionics poles, along with various other makes, but one thing is in my opinion Ionics do make very good poles, and the Glyder is one of them.

I will be buying a Glyder, probebly at the show in Coventry.

Only advice i would give is forget the cost of the equipment, can you make your money back & do you feel comfortable with it = Buy it !

All the pictures I have took and the full length feature film tilted 'one man and is Glyder pole' have been taken by the old bill I got raided last night and charged with making an unlicensed porn film.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
