i wonder if this is a record ? i got a new customer last week . he lives on a main road so i expected dirty windows , priced the job and got it .
turned up yesterday and while cleaning them ( they were really dirty ! ) i got into polite conversation about weather etc , he then said they hadnt been cleaned since he moved in , i asked when that was and he replied 1992 ! is there anybody who can beat this !!!! and he now wants them done every 4 weeks !

Can't beat that one Steve but I've had a few that were a long time since last clean.  I always give them their first clean by connecting to the outside tap if possible and giving everything a thorough wash off.  Leave it all to finish dripping and then do a normal pure water clean.  I have limited carrying capacity so need to preserve my pure water but this method works for well  me.

I've had a few that must qualify for a record but most windows don't get any dirtier after a certain point.

The council round here doesn't clean the windows of any of their houses or flats and most of the inhabitants don't bother so I can take you out and show you loads of windows that haven't been cleaned for over twenty years.

If you canvass these estates the people don't want their windows cleaned, more to the point they don't want to pay. One bloke wanted me to clean his windows and then send the bill to the council.

they now want it cleaned every 4wks though i also picked up another two

makes you wonder how they even see out of windows when they havent been cleaned for so long !!im hoping he becomes a regular now ( every 4 weeks not every 4 decades ! ) good old fairy liquid

Done quite a few that haven't been cleaned for many a year.

It does go to show you that many people can live without their windows being regularly cleaned, however on the other foot, we regularly get people and particularly lately with the bad weather, who will phone us up on the day after the 4 week date when they were due asking why they haven't been done! 

Er, sorry but we could hardly get out the house for 2 weeks!  I am hoping to be caught up by the middle of next week if the weather holds off.

I have a customer who lives in a huge Georgian house, when I took on the job (4 years ago) he asked if my pole would reach the second floor as they had never been done in the 40 years he had lived there.
The glass is so old and was so dirty it has gone opaque, so even when I do clean them you can’t tell. I just do them 3 times a year now, I can’t see the point in taking his money for no benefit.
