im in need of a new, lighter brush.
after some searching on here the diy bentley seems to get alot of good views.

where can i get these from and had anybody got a pic they could put up as im not sure what they look like and what to look for when heading out to get one!

are they the same as the superlite brushes?

they are not like a super lite as a s/l is much stiffer they are also 177p at asda in cream colour. I have just got two and have just trimed brissles down so they are stiffer. The S/L  is a wider brush so i cut the  bentley brissels back so that they have no flocked ends.I would say about 1/2 inch shorted with scissors and then just remove one tuft of brissels it put the jets in.at this stage they are 204 grams and lighter than a super lite.

Yes they are light but I'm not so keen on them as a WFP brush myself.  I was OK with it at first until I used better brushes.  Now that I know better I won't use them again.  I still have one and will use it until it's no good but that's only because I dislike waste and I'm a tightarse.

The best brush I've ever used was one that was also supplied by Gardiners.  It's light.  I think it's their dual trim brush.  I find that the bristles are a splayed shape meaning that they get in places that some brushes cannot.  The best brushes of all regarding the bristles are the Tucker ones IMO but they are heavier and I think you have to mess about adapting them if you aren't using a (heavy) Tucker pole.  The jets let a lot of water through too.
So the Gardiner ones it is for me.
In fairness to Gardiners, the Bentley that they originally supplied with their earlier very light poles was only ever intended as a stopgap until they developed their own brushes.

the bentley needs the brissels trimmed as wizard has said, its a nice brush then, at the standard length the brissels foul the jets

my fav brush was all the VIKAN, but its too heavy

but can be made much lighter and it works with a fishing pole ( thus is light )

i do like my vikan brush but at nearly 450g it starts to burn the arms after a while

just trim down your Vikan, its very easy, check out the link

For what is worth...

I have used Vikan, Bently, Brodex brushes but nothing is as good as the dual trim Gardiner brushes they are light and scrub really well it is also lasting the course.

the bently i had was shagged after 5 weeks and never got into corners and reveals like the super lite
