Generally speaking, if the polyprop rug is woven, there is a small risk of rucking/shrinkage. To avoid, it needs to be blocked until dry. Otherwise the customer may need to "train" it by folding back the corners occasionally. Very simple, but if you don't forewarn them, they will think you have damaged their unique and precious family heirloom ::) :'( ;)

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Help !

The face filbre of the rug is woven directly to ???? what looks suspiciously like jute ???? running in one direction only.

I've done a burn test on a 10cm strand, its slow burning and it turns to a light coloured grey ash if that helps.

I'm going to have to leave this one until I get the identification clarified, so if anyone could take a look at the photos I've got of the rug and it's backing material I can e-mail them over, this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Paul
