Public Liability
« on: January 20, 2010, 12:48:46 pm »
I've just had a few quotes for Public Liability but for some reason they don't cover window or glass breakage. If they do then the price trebles. Whats the point of having public liability if they wont cover breakage of glass?
Anyway I did get a good price £95 for £2m pl but with £200 excess. Ok if its a conservortary or shop etc but not if its your normal domestic window pane.
Have you got broken glass cover in your premium? If so whats your access?

My policy covers breakages but there's a €750 excess. The real reason for the insurance is for if you damage someone's head from your pole of ladder falling on it,.. that could cost HUGE money in compensation.

The pen is mightier than the sword (and a lot easier to write with!)

I got mine for the same reasons as matt, the pain of glass i couldnt give a toss about, its the pole falling or the customer tripping over my hose that i worry about!!
