I needed a swivel squeegee for pole work and have ordered a wagtail whirlwind i just wondered have any of you used one and are they as good as they look.Ive watched them being used on youtube and they look brilliant.

Be wary of those demo videos. The window is usually clean anyway and it`s being done another dozen times during the video.

  The wagtail is ok though.

one tip is to change the rubber to a SOFT rubber, makes a whole world easier  /now its cold out

ive got the flipper type and to be honest wouldnt use any other squeegee
have ordered the whirlwind should arrive next week
i do use mine on the pole and its ok,its my technique thats at fault
i do have a unger swivel 18inch and thats good

got wagtail flipper very good but would be better to wash and squeegee in one!

As Karl has already mentioned there are no Wagtail Whirlwind tools in GB now. I have been thinking of getting a Wagtail but does anyone know if you can put Pulex rubber into one ?
Not too sure about the Whirlwind though as i can't see the washer strip holding much water and the boy in the video looks like he learned to clean windows in the navy...
He doesn't like corners does he.

  Pulex will go in. A bit of lubrication does help, I put a blob of washing up liquid in the channel. 
   You`re right about the strip washer. I`ve got a Flipper and it`s not suitable for most of my work.

Lidl floor pads are superb for the wagtail. I think they're £2.99 each & you can get two wagtail pads from one floor pad.

the new Whirlwind carries more water than the Flipper and is designed to lubricate the blade whilst you work (great in summer heat like now here in Australia)

wagtail whirlwind are in UK cause I have one ner ner !!!
And it is a great tool 18" one been using it for a week on very large windows and I wash them first quickly with the pad then squeegee but even with out washing first and using it as wash and squeegee is very good lubricates the glass nicely one dip in the bucket will do 3 large showroom windows no problem.
